Crystal Skull is perfect for a Tomb Raider commander deck

removing the blink dude is crazy, he is a stock combo piece which can combo off multiple cards, especially if u add guide of souls. Also, while i agree the vehicles were shit, i can see why there are so many. Multiple board wipes, many 1/1 gens for crew = wipe board leaving vehicles, recover quick. Also aether refinery isnt actually too bad at 6 mana when u have a suprising amount of ramp. And era of innovation is deceptively useful in the deck, there are like 30 artifacts/artificers, and u need that card draw.

i really dislike how incredibly complicated the product structure has become. It used to be you buy a booster and get 10 commons 3 uncommons and a rare or mythic plus a token. Now every booster not only has 5 slots that each can include 4 different things they also change the structure every 5 minutes. i want to know what i am buying. and i want to know what my odds are. especially if you are trying to sell single boosters for 50 bucks to me. We just got rid of the split between draft booster and set booster but hey now we get beyond boosters. it includes 1 booster fun card whatever the fuck that is and has only 10 cards instead of (i dont even know how many cards are in a booster nowadays..15? 14? how many are in a collector booster like 20 i think?). Ohg and in which kind of booster can i get serialized cards? ok only collector ok. So i wanted to build this commander deck where can i pull the commander? its exclusive in prerelease kits? and not legal in prerelease? yea that makes sense. Anyway i completley stopped buying boosters because of this. i dont like to spend money of things where i have no clue what i am actually buying.

Lightning runner and the commander have a couple infinite combos in here. Either the gainlife sphinx or the etb get 6 energy whale.

While I do agree that a single fetchland or a single original dual land doesn't change the powerlevel of a deck that much, those cards aren't often encountered alone. I don't think I've seen somebody play a Plateau only to follow it up with an Orzhov guildgate. It often indicates that you're running a 3 colour deck with 9 fetches, 3 OG duals, 3 shocks, and some other solid untapped lands. At that point the consistancy of your mana base pushes the deck up a level (or two).

Revisiting this because I’ve just had a revelation. We finally have a 5th Eldraine commander to complete the brawl pentagon. Each brawl deck does a thing with a pay off for doing that thing. Eg knights get cheap equipment equipments. Sacrificing, card and board advantage. We needed a Temur commander to balance the colour pie. We had 3 white in bant, mardu, esper. 3 black in esper, mardu, jund. But only 2 green in jund and bant. 2 blue in esper and bant. And 2 red in mardu and jund. So with the printing of Beluna Grandsquall we have a legendary Eldraine creature who champions one of Eldraines most famous standard decks. TEMUR ADVENTURES! Focusing on self mill with a pay off in adventure synergy. Sadly fae of wishes will be next to useless

Was rewatching some Tabletop the other night and all I have to say is wits and wagers Jimmy.

The skull would probably go into my Arcade Gannon deck. It is pretty pretty artifact heavy with some artifact lands. And the commander's other ability to draw and discard should cover a bit more ground.

This skull is perfect for my Lara Croft deck, Now I need a Indiana Jones and a Nathan Drake card in temur to make it perfect !

I’m usually one to say “hey if you don’t like a set just don’t buy it” and move on. But this is crazy. I have ordered the MH3 stuff the second I could and still haven’t gotten some of it. What are they thinking with this. Not to mention the packs have LESS cards in a game where the price is already crazy?!?? Boycotting this set for sure. Singles only for me.

Honestly as far as the boosters go this is much better than Aftermath, and may be a good idea for some UB ip's. They need to tweak it a bit still and get rid of the damn collector boosters, everything should be available in the small undraftable pack
